Terms of Service
Last updated: 7 August 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Wake Frequency Calculator (the "Service") operated by Studiowide ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
The Service provides thermowell calculations using selected methods from ASME PTC 19.3 TW-2016. The implemented scope and any unresolved inputs are shown with the result. It is provided as an engineering aid only.
2. No engineering warranty — designer responsibility
The specification of a thermowell, including details of its intended installation and all intended operating conditions, is the sole responsibility of the designer of the system that incorporates the thermowell. The designer is responsible for ensuring the thermowell is compatible with the process fluid and with the design of the installation. Calculation results produced by the Service must be independently reviewed and verified by a qualified engineer before being relied upon for design, fabrication, or operation.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract source code or proprietary calculation logic.
- Use the Service to violate any law or third-party right.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or our systems.
- Resell or sublicense the Service without our written consent.
5. Access and usage
Access to the Service is provided through a registered account. We may apply reasonable usage or security controls to protect the Service and its users.
6. Your calculation data
You remain responsible for the inputs you enter and the reports you download. When signed in, reports you save or download are stored with their calculation inputs against your account. Project workspaces remain in the browser tab until exported. See our Privacy Policy for details of the data the Service processes and how to request access or deletion.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, its branding, interface and underlying software are owned by Studiowide and protected by intellectual property laws. ASME PTC 19.3 TW-2016 is a standard owned by ASME; we are not affiliated with or endorsed by ASME.
8. Disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY OF CALCULATIONS, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Studiowide shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or business, arising out of your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim arising out of your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
11. Termination
You may delete your account from the Account page after re-entering your password. If that process is unavailable, use the contact form to request assistance. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or pose a security risk. Sections 2, 6–10 and 12 survive termination.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. Where required by applicable law, we will give notice of material changes before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
