Wake Frequency Calculator ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Studiowide. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use wakefrequencycalculator.com (the "Service") and how we handle it. By using the Service you agree to this policy.

1. Data we collect

Account data — name, email and company. Authentication credentials are handled by Supabase Auth; the application does not store or display your plaintext password.
Calculation inputs and results — processed for your current calculation. When signed in, choosing Save report, Download PDF or batch PDF download stores the calculation inputs, results, optional report labels and generated PDF against your account. Calculations you choose to save from ChatGPT use the same account report library. Saved reports can be retrieved later; editing and saving creates a new report rather than replacing the original.
ChatGPT app data — inputs submitted in the ChatGPT app are processed by the hosted calculator. Calculation data and engineering warnings are shared with ChatGPT to support explanations. Optional report labels are excluded from the calculation context; they can appear in a report image if you choose to share that image. Clients that support saved widget state can retain your draft inputs and report labels with the conversation.
Contact form submissions — name, authenticated email, subject and message submitted by an invited signed-in user.
Service records — standard security or diagnostic logs created by the hosting and authentication services.
Browser storage — storage and security cookies needed to keep you signed in and protect the Service; we do not use advertising cookies.
Optional analytics — only if you choose Allow analytics, Google Analytics records sanitised page visits and product actions, such as completing a calculation or saving a report. Google also processes browser/device information, cookie identifiers and connection information needed to provide analytics. Calculation inputs and numerical results, customer/report labels, filenames, email addresses, account IDs and project IDs are not included in our analytics events.

2. How we use it

To operate the calculator, provide your account and retrieve calculation records and PDF reports that you choose to save.
To respond to support requests sent through the contact form.
To manage access to the Service and prevent misuse.
To diagnose faults and improve the Service.
To meet legal obligations and prevent abuse.

3. Legal basis (UK/EU GDPR)

We process your data on the basis of (a) performance of the contract to provide you the Service, (b) our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Service, and (c) your consent where required.

4. Sharing

We share data only with processors that help us run the Service:

Lovable and Cloudflare — production site hosting, delivery and security.
Netlify — restricted deployment previews when used during release testing.
Supabase — account authentication and application database.
OpenAI — ChatGPT, the hosted calculator app and report images that you choose to share in your conversation. Use of ChatGPT is also governed by OpenAI's privacy policy and your ChatGPT data settings.
Google Fonts — delivery of the typefaces used by the site.
Google Analytics — optional usage measurement after consent. Advertising features and Google Signals are not enabled. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. Retention

We retain account and contact data only for as long as it is needed to operate the Service, respond to requests, meet legal obligations, and protect the Service. You can delete your account from the Account page after re-entering your password, or request assistance through the contact form. Limited records may remain where retention is legally required or in routine backups until those backups are overwritten. Calculation records and archived PDFs that you choose to save remain linked to your account for retrieval. Contact us if you need assistance accessing or deleting a saved record. ChatGPT conversation and file retention is controlled by OpenAI and your ChatGPT settings; clearing the calculator's inputs does not delete messages or images already shared in a chat.

6. International transfers

Our service providers may process data in the UK, the EEA, or other countries. International processing is subject to the provider's applicable contractual and data-protection safeguards.

Analytics and cookie choices

You can allow or decline optional analytics without affecting your ability to sign in, calculate or retrieve reports. No Google Analytics tag loads before permission. Use Analytics choices at the bottom of the page to change your decision. Withdrawing permission stops collection, clears the analytics cookies set by this site and reloads the page; it does not delete information already received by Google. Contact us about data requests.

Your choice is stored in this browser for up to six months. Analytics cookies are configured for a maximum of 180 days. User and event-level analytics retention is configured to two months, without resetting on new activity. This does not determine retention of your saved calculations or aggregated statistical reports. Account and security storage remain necessary for the service regardless of your analytics choice.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).

8. Security

We use Row Level Security on the application database, provider-managed password hashing, and TLS in transit. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.

9. Children

The Service is not directed at anyone under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified via the Service or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
